This is a great activity to try out with your class. The activity is to describe a character. I found a whole heap of interesting characters using goggle images. You can see the result in the picture below.
To make the scrapbook style publication I have used MS Word. You can use any program that you like. Paint, Power Point, comic life...

Basically I have gone on to goggle images, MS Clip art online and downloaded a whole lot of different backgrounds and scrapbook type images.

Put it all together and the result is very effective and looks great on the wall.
